Time and Space

The invisible world has so much to tell us if we will listen. It can be a very spiritual world and because we cannot see it, it truly is a mysterious world.  It is critical that we respect even that which we cannot see.

 The images in two of my paintings “Evolution I” and “Evolution II” present such a family coming out of nowhere. For this reason I created a virtual sky, and while most of us think dinosaurs belong to the past I feel they are coming from the future. Imagine these huge dinosaurs giving us a peek into our modern world.

In these works I create the doors to experience another virtual world.

Work 3D

leave a comment »

I have been researching ways to stream videos using Flash and Flex applications to manipulate the Flash Player on 3D axis. I had the opportunity to make abut 6 or 7 different types of video shots during the documentation for this project.

My idea is to design a web page and to place these videos on a 3D plane using Papervision3D and Flex. I want the user to trigger the planes with the mouse and tween them back and forward. Alternativelly, redirect the camera to focus on different planes; This will show a nice HD player with the dimensions of 503×301px which is also the latest YouTube HD player size.

Basically, I concentrate on two main functions which require the latest Flash Player 10:

1. Tweening planes backward and forward;

2. To configure the video player controls;

See an example of interface design for my videos http://sdonea.wordpress.com/tween-videos/.

The planes must stay in two curved lines. The user can click on thumbnails to manipulate the videos to come back and forward.

Typography

This is the final typography effect created in After Effects for the bands name, the location and event type. I somehow missed the song name which is LEBENDIGE IMPLANTATE. Is it because the storyboard is still missing? It can be.

Can be a good idea to write everybody’s names on the end of the song; Dan, CJ, Marcus and Dave. I can perhaps animate each name and show four short sequences of everybody in a separate window.

If I have to use this effect of separate windows on the end of this clip, I would probably look for a few high resolution sequences.  A few seconds of best quality footage will not mess up the soundtrack synchronization. Nobody will notice the difference and this will replace the dark parts on the final part.

See “Joda Cema” on YouTube video player,  size 560x340px.  widescreen version and use the HQ button from the drop down menu controls.
